   to market, MoCA announced agreement on its 2.0 specs, and the
   HomePlug AV2 standard is moving along. Now it's up the telephone
   companies and the consumer electronics makers. 2011 promises to be a
   critical year.

Ford SYNC--"A Simpler Way to Connect"

 - Ford's latest MyFord Touch Driver Connect Technology integrates the
   consumer's personal electronics with the car's communications,
   navigation, entertainment and control technologies. We saw it in
   action at CES, and found it very different from GM's OnStar.

The Evolution of TV--Now It's 3D

 - 3D TV can be headache provoking. For Sandy this was true in the
   literal sense -- and even more because of the contradictions between
   the TV manufacturers, content providers and distribution networks
   rushing headlong to get 3D to market NOW while the technical papers
   were calling attention to all the unresolved problems.

The US National Broadband Plan

 - The US FCC has issued a National Broadband Plan. Better late than
   never, the FCC plan aims to push broadband speeds to 100 Mbps and
   make broadband available to -- and affordable for -- all families.
